When you’re opening a new business, it’s easy to either over-order merch you don’t need yet or forget the basics entirely. Here’s a practical starting list, roughly in order of what you’ll actually use in the first weeks.
The essentials
- Stickers. Cheap, fast, and flexible: on packaging, on a laptop, on a window, or handed out as a small freebie. A good low-cost way to get your logo in front of people repeatedly.
- Staff t-shirts or a branded apron/polo. If customers interact with your team in person, branded clothing does a lot of quiet marketing work and makes your team look established from day one.
What to skip at launch
Anything ordered “just in case”, large banners for events you haven’t booked yet, or big batches of a design you might still tweak. It’s easier and cheaper to start with a smaller order of your core items, confirm the design works the way you expect, and reorder once you know what you actually go through.
How to plan the order
Because pricing is shown upfront in the configurator, you can price out a few different combinations (say, stickers + t-shirts vs. stickers + aprons) and compare the real cost before committing, instead of emailing multiple print shops for quotes and waiting days to compare.
If you’re not sure what makes sense for your specific business, tell us what you’re opening and how customers will interact with it, we’re happy to suggest a starting list rather than just take whatever order comes in.
